Where, when and what about me:
Graduated from “Alliance” High School in Ramat Aviv in 1962.
Went to the Air Force – ‘Techni’ in Haifa in 1962/63 – electronics – on board Radar Systems. Joined the Air Force and went to Fort Bliss, Texas, US Army Air Defense School and trained on the Hawk Surface to Air Missile System. Served in the Air Force through the June 1967, Six Day War.
Tel-Aviv University 1967/8, Physics & Math, married Shuli in 1968 and went to the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), in Chicago, Illinois, USA earned a BSEE in 1971 and a MSEE in 1972 started but never completed a PhD in Computer Science at IIT and U. of Illinois, Urbana.
Joined Ford Motor Company in 1972 as an Automation Engineer in the Chicago Heights Stamping Plant, went into Engineering and Operations Management in Stamping, on to Vehicle Assembly Operations in Cleveland, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan, New Vehicle Program Management, Operations Manager and Manufacturing Planning.
I retired in 2001 (early) from Ford, and established my own Consulting Business, helping Manufacturing Operations improve Operational Effectiveness and implementing Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
